Clayton:
Refusing to poop in the toilet. He holds it for days until it comes out like a train wreck. He's back in pull-ups :( He goes pee like a champ. He doesn't need reminders or anything....he just goes into the bathroom and goes, by himself! #2 is a different story. He'll sit on the toilet and pretend to push, but won't ever go poop. Any tips from any of you moms out there?
Spencer:
Not potty-trained yet :), but almost sitting up by himself!

I can't believe how big Spencer is getting! What a cute little guy. We miss you guys!
Going #2 was hard for Lauren too! Finally I just had enough and I picked a few days and we stayed home and I just watched her like a hawk and when I thought she needed to go I would hurry and put her on the toilet! She did not like it but finally she went in the potty and we had a big treat for her! You hav to just pick whatever treat will work best for Clayton. Then we told her if she could go a whole week of going poop in the potty we could get a pet fish - she was soooo excited!
I admit it was hard but once we found her trigger - what she wanted bad enough that she was willing to try and use the potty - it wasn't so bad! Don't get discouraged - I think she had been peeing without accidents in the potty for about 4 months before she finally got the pooping thing down!
You know if I had any tips to give you...my daughter wouldn't be peeing her pants everyday at least once...You know from my expereince with Annie and from what I have heard from my friends...pooping is just a little scarier to them...they also need to figure out how to use their muscle in that way. They have been so used to pooping standing up, now we tell them to poop sitting down...I don't know its a thought. I can't believe that spencer is old enough now to be sitting up like a pro!! What a cutie!!!
Sounds exactly like Camille. Don't force it. Yeah it was so irritating that Camille was over 3 and would tell me "I need to go poop now can I have a diaper". But one day she saw something in the store that she wanted bad enough and I told her she could have it if she pooped. She finally decided that "SHE" wanted to go poop in the toilet and she has gone in the toilet ever since. My Dr said that going poop is one of the only things they are totally in control of, so let him be. When he is ready he will go. Easier said than done, but at least that is how it "worked" for us.
